Mindset: taking themselves will be a huge improvement in my life. If your taking synthetics and also saying “this sucks” every time. Then your right. So change your mindset and be proud of yourself for loving on your body. You have to decide to focus on the positive or your brain will autofocus on the negative.to believe it's true. Let's talk about reality: I started dancing before I was two years old. Then from 7th grade - high school graduation I was dancing 3-5 hours a day. In college, I was dancing 6-8 hours a day. While still working (as a barista and bartender) and having a social life. None of this includes the hours of stretching and conditioning I did outside of the classes, the horseback riding on the weekend or house chores #FarmLife while growing up. I did a lot. If I can do all that - there is NO reason I can't run. I just haven't made it a priority in my life. I haven't trained for it. I just predetermined I couldn't. That right there is what is called a Limiting Belief. A belief that put a glass ceiling on myself. A barrier holding me down. Not only that - the words that I would say to myself after I repeated this story to myself... Let's just say we are always our worst critic. #NotNice So I started running two weeks ago, 3 days a week with a couch to 5k app. The app lady talks to me the whole time. She tells when to run and when to walk. She tells me the halfway point, the cooldown point and to keep going. It's awesome. Afterward, I send my accountability buddies a photo of my run. Thank goodness for them! I am totally that person that has to convince herself to go but am loving the feeling when I am done. #Endorphins Of course, my dancer brain kicked in - on my "off running days" I'm still doing stuff. I'm doing handstand conditioning exercises, Theraband leg strengthening exercises, yoga flows, hiking and cupid shuffle plank challenges. In no order, just randomly to keep my muscles moving. While knocking out projects and taking a few online courses. Have I mentioned busy is my coping mechanism? #BossLady Anyways I am loving all the movement and yet my body is saying "WOAH LADY - we need some freaking support if you're going to keep up with this routine" DAMN do my muscles need the support right now because I am SORE. So I pulled out some supplements I use to take when I was dancing. Agilease for my joints, Powergize for stamina, Aminowise for muscle fatigue and MegaCal for faster recovery. These are being added to my daily routine of supplements. I take supplements for my MTHFR, digestion, organ support, hair growth, hormones, muscle recovery... just to name a few. I have been taking plant-based supplements since I was probably 6 years old. Not just like one here and there. Routine supplements multiple times a day since I was 6. Yet somehow I still forget to take them now. Here are 5 ways I trick my brain into loving myself 🥰
Mindset: taking themselves will be a huge improvement in my life. If your taking synthetics and also saying “this sucks” every time. Then your right. So change your mindset and be proud of yourself for loving on your body. You have to decide to focus on the positive or your brain will auto focus on the negative.
Take supplements with water and a splash of Redmond Sea Salt to absorb as much of the nutrients as possible! Table salt is typically removed from the nutrients and then bleached before being sold. This is why our body doesn't like table salt. So get the real stuff and the real nutrients. It makes a huge difference.
Know what your supplements are for - this way you know your working towards. If you're just taking them because you had the thought "maybe this one will work" then that maybe is going to hold you back. Plan this out! Look at how many supplements are in the container. Look at how many you are taking a day - look at when you will be out compared to your other supplements. This way you can revisit how you feel after taking them for 2/3 months.
Don't put the supplements on your tongue. Just let them float and swallow fast. If they do land try to move them to the back of your mouth. As soon as the supplement touches your saliva - the breakdown process starts. The faster you can take them the easier this becomes.
Put a reminder, on your phone, to take them at the same time each day. Creating this routine takes 21 days of consistency. This is KEY! Starting a new routine can be tricky - because you have to remind yourself to do it!! Our brains like the paths we have already created. It takes work to create that new path for the new routine. So set yourself up for success from the beginning!
